The first KGHS-AJET group leader--Ms. Liu Shuo Ya-- was a
strong-minded and determined girl. She was very thoughtful
and brave. The first step to build a club, a "sub-group" in an
academic high school is never easy. First, it is a bottom-up
approach without any additional support from other teachers.
Secondly, other than the "main group" of the second foreign
language class, she had to coordinate schoolmates from all the
At the critical moment, she then sacrificed her dream of
going to college in Taipei, but stayed home to assist. She
came back to AJET in 2002 as a delegate to World Youth
Meeting. She was one of the two college students who led
the high school group to Japan, making presentations and
assisting the teachers. She made good reflections and
suggestions and such feedback was very important for the
mprovement of our international projects.
She completed her academics as soon as possible. Later she
went to U.K. and get a master's degree. She is such a wonderful
leader, friend and daughter.
